The day after Thanksgiving we went to the San Diego zoo

First Abby met a Leopard.

Then a Panda

And a giant Komodo Dragon.

What do you do on Thanksgiving when you don't care about turkey or football? Our tradition is to hit a theme park when it isn't crowded. This year we went to Legoland! It won't be long until this yearly tradition becomes an annual custom. Love to all.

We dressed as Star Wars characters for our church Harvest Party. Since Abby was an Ewok, we had to follow suit as Han Solo and Princess Leia.

Pumpkin Patch

Shannon and Josh took Abby to the pumpkin patch last week and had a lot of fun!

Trip to the Zoo

We went down to the zoo on Sunday afternoon and hung out for a while. Abby loved the otters under the water and up on the rocks.

Last weekend Jon's second cousin Graham was out in San Diego for a conference and we were able to have dinner at Casa Guadalajara in Old Town.

Who was that masked man?

We spent Friday at Comicon, it was really fun seeing the costumes and sitting in on some of the panels. We celebrated the news that Joss Whedon would be directing the new Avengers movie!

Lego had some great figures on display.
The Ecto-1 was there, a Tron Lightcycle, and the Black Beauty.

Storm troopers come to San Diego for vacation.

We saw a Bones panel.

We saw a panel on women in Sci-fi with actresses from Lost and Fringe.

When we were watching Joss Whedon, his friend Nathan Fillion showed up in the audience as a surprise.

Lots of movie props such as Bumblebee and the sleeping pods from Aliens.

This was the huge slide Abby went down at a local park. She is so brave. The big kid behind her was in awe!
